It used to be that those Christians who dabbled in secular psychological theories would call themselves "Christian Counselors." This was not to be taken in any other sense than that they were Christians who "counseled" - perhaps with one or two Bible verses thrown in to their otherwise non-Christian approaches. Recently, however, these "integrationists" have begun calling themselves "Biblical Counselors", and this has led to confusion.
True Biblical Counselors use
Scripture alone (or books committed to that principle) and eschew any use of worldly psychology. It is this kind of approach that is supported at
Veritas School of Theology.
We are happy to now launch our first counseling course with Keith Palmer's "
Introduction to Biblical Counseling." Further, this course qualifies as part of
Phase 1 of NANC certification! Pastor Palmer seeks personal transformation of the student that will lead them to seek to help others.
This class begins August 9th!
